Our Client
Nosyd is an internationally operating appliances company. They are now aim to investigate entering the new market of robot pet-sitters, we need to develop a speculative concept for what the user experience of a petsitter robot may look like from the pet owner’s perspective.
Problem Brief
According to Global No.1 Business Data Platform— Number of dogs and cats kept as pets worldwide in 2018 surveyed by Statista— shows that over 470 million dogs kept as pets worldwide, dogs came out on top as the leading type of pet in 2018. This means that two over five (39%) of households in Australia have at least one dog. With the development of urban and the increase of social pressure, the psychological and health issue of dogs caused by the full-time work of the owners are now frequently in the spotlight.

According to our client need, professional, concise and high-quality interface can make users feel that the product is trustworthy and efficient. Taking into account the consistency of the brand image of each platform, our colour selection and layout concept are more concise and more professional. Moreover, this is a remote doggy interactive product, and our target users are all caring. So we added a few lively elements on the basis of simplicity.

PawPat Key Functions
Basic Function
See, talk and toss treats to your dog from anywhere. These basic functions should be possessed by every dog robot. Besides, Pawpat's basic functions can detect the dog's physical condition and send out smart alarms, record dog-related highlight moments. Moreover, on the pet camera page, users can customise the remote interaction with the dog, such as chase , treat, etc.
Health Tracking Function
In the previous online ethnography, many users said they were too busy to take their dogs for regular check-ups and to monitor their health at all times. Hence, they wanted a product that would provide them with data on their dogs' daily activities. In our health function, the dog's daily activity data is tracked and recorded, activity charts and diaries are generated automatically. We also provide the basic functions of online vet consultation and find a vet clinic near me. Any data that the user finds abnormal can be saved and downloaded.
Online Vet Function
Talk with a qualified vet from the comfort of users' own home on Pawpat through Online Vet function. The vet can assess the Pawpat camera to watch the dog's situation, and will help the user solve pet's problem and the advice provided to share in time with the local vet. If Offline Inspection Reservation is required, users can also make an appointment directly through Online Vet function. Pawpat will provide users with a nearby veterinary clinics.
Nearby Dog Function
Through online ethnography, we found that users have a strong need for social interaction and many users expressed that they hope someone can help take care of their dogs when they are away. Through investigation, we found that dogs need to "socialise" more than humans. As the second main function of Pawpat, Nearby Dog function allows users to search for other dog owners within 3km nearby. Through chat, users can meet to walk their dogs together, or take care of each other's dogs. This function not only meets the social needs of users, but also allows their dogs to meet their new friends
